We were appointed as the Contractor’s Designer for HyD’s second Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Project in HK for UAF, for the design and construction of a total of 47 lifts for 31 walkways in Central & Western, Southern, Kwai Tsing, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, Wong Tai Sin, Yau Tsim Mong and Tseung Kwan O Districts and associated civil works, geotechnical works, electrical and mechanical works, modification works for existing structures, roads and drainage works, lighting works and landscaping works where they will have to be completed within 39 months. The ECI Project has consisted of two stages: Stage 1 (9 months) which included design review and advance site investigation works; Stage 2 (30 months) which included all construction works. MIC structural design has been adopted to expedite the construction and Mannings has provided full design support for BD/ICU and MTRCL approval. Mannings has provided full BIM services which included management of CDE platform, 4D modelling animation and integrating UU information into BIM model to demonstrate any conflict and resolve in ECI Stage 1.
