Mannings is pleased to be awarded as “Highly Commented” for the Martin Barnes NEC Awards 2024 “Recognising project excellence and innovation” under our Universal accessibility lift-retrofit projects, Hong Kong jointly submitted by Highways Department & Mannings (Asia) Consultants Ltd.
Over past 15 years, Mannings had been employed by both CEDD and HyD over 12 consultancy such as CE52/2018(HY), CE53/2018(HY), CE23/2021(HY), CE14/2017(HY), CE40/2013(HY), etc for UA/BFA projects retrofit lifts to existing walkways in Hong Kong to enhance the city’s walkability for delivering about 390 lifts in HK. Currently, Mannings are PM and designer for 9 numbers of ongoing UA projects to 152 existing walkways at an estimated cost of exceeding HK$3.4 billion dollars. With the vast number of projects being implemented at the same time, we have established a CRE office comprising over 160 Resident Site Staff at peak that led by Senior Resident Engineers (SREs) as 3 project teams. Utilizing the CRE office, we ensured the efficient completion of UA projects through our resources allocation system. This collaboration culture also drives various enhancements in the design of UA projects not only in terms of productivity and safety, but also environmental friendliness through the reduction in carbon emission in the operation phase. With these initiatives, we ensuring the UA projects to be completed in a more efficient, safe and sustainable manner.
