We have been appointed by the Contractor JV to act as the Structural Design checker for the Design and Construction of light Public Housing at Tuen Mun Area 54, at Sheun on street /Sheung ping Street, Chai Wan and at Lok On Pai, Siu Lam. The projects consist of 4 blocks with 5614 habitable Units, 2 blocks with 1716 habitable Units and 3 blocks with 4200 habitable Units respectively.
The towers are made of conventional Reinforcement Concrete at ground floor for ancillary facilities where as the domestic units above are made of Structural Steel MiC Modules strategically built around/adjacent to Reinforced Concrete lift/staircase core for stability.
Our Role as Structural Design Checker involved reviewing the technical submissions by the Structural Designer and Contractor which include superstructure, foundation and ELS design, monitoring proposal and method statements for various construction works. We are also responsible for periodic site inspection for the construction works.
