We were engaged by DSD to conduct Design and Construction Supervision services for the Drainage Improvement Works at Ha Wan Tsuen, Lok Ma Chau Tsuen, Ko Hang Ha, Ping Kong, Ying Pun, Yuen Leng, Upper Ng Tung River and Lower Ping Yuen River in the North District. The aim of the project is to improve the drainage performance of some areas to meet the required flood protection level. The two existing vehicular bridges spanning across lower Ping Yuen River shall be reconstructed. Moreover, pumping stations and flood walls shall be constructed for the Village Flood Protection Scheme (Polder Scheme) at Ha Wan Tsuen and Lok Ma Chau Tsuen. We also have to overcome land issues, traffic, public concern, E&M works and aesthetic. EIA for proposed works at Ping Kong, Ha Wan Tsuen and Lok Ma Chau Tsuen is also a concern. NEC4 contract strategy will be provided for this assignment.
