We have been engaged by HyD since October 2018 to investigate, design and construction supervision for the retrofitting of cantilever/vertical Noise Barriers and/or Semi-Noise Enclosures to 3 road sections in TKO as direct noise mitigation measures including 3 packages, namely (P1) for 3 sections of 7m high 378m long NE; 7 sections of 5m+2m high 377m long Cantilevered NB and 3m high 6m long Vertical NB underneath the footbridge and all are along Po Lam Road North (PLRN); (P2) for 7m high 150m long NE and 3 sections of Sm high 310m long vertical NB along Po Ning Road westbound and (P3) for 5m+3m high Cantilevered NB 180m long along PLRN outside King Ming Court; 2 sections of 5m+3m high 155m long Cantilevered NB along PLRN outside Hong Sing Garden (HSG); and 6.5m high 10m long Vertical NB outside east entrance of HSG. We have obtained support for all 3 packages from the public recently and the associated Site Investigation works are underway.
