We are the Supervisor and have completed this Option C contract for the works near Po Nga Court (Contract No. HY/2010/10). This contract is Government’s third NEC pilot project and we managed to modify the original NEC by incorporating Option Z clauses to suit the local needs, the Employer’s preferences and procedures. In addition, soon after the contract commencement, we further took up some duties and powers of Project Manager in NEC under his delegation. Also, this contract involved Cost Savings Design (CSD) and we managed to apply the NEC clauses to correlate with Bureau’s CSD clauses such that the risk sharing can be adequately addressed in the pain-gain sharing mechanism of this Option C target cost contract.
