Lam Tei Quarry is the only quarry currently in operation which is located at about 3 km north of Tuen Mun New Town, covering an area of 30.5 hectares. It is bounded by a series of high rock cut slope, locally with natural terrain extending upwards to the local peak. The final site formation level will be at about +25mPD by means of bench-by-bench blasting, with numbers of rock slope at the perimeter of the Site. Under the Contract, we were employed by CEDD as the Design Checker for the geotechnical works for site formation including rock slope stability assessment during the quarrying works at Lam Tei. We are also responsible for the recruitment and supervision of the temporary resident site staff. Our resident site staff are mainly responsible for contract administration and construction supervision.
