We were employed by WSD as the NEC Advisor using ECC Option C (one of the Contracts in the assignment).
We have proactively involved in the process of options evaluation and development of tendering strategy. In particular, the mainlaying works should be divided into 2 contracts where ECC Options B and D were preferred for each contract.
- Having reviewed the nature of works, programme, site condition, potential risk, project scale, ease of contract administration, capability of potential tenderers, etc., we have agreed with WSD to combine the 2 contracts into 1 single contract with the Option changed from B/D to Option C
- To check compliances of the tender documents, such as the Contract Data, Works Information, period for reply etc., versus the requirements of NEC and providing recommendations for the NEC Contracts including dose liaison with client’s consultant to ensure compliance of tender document to ECC related clauses and the library from Bureau.
